Aerie is a 36' Islander with a spacious interior. Those who have chartered Aerie in the past will be amazed. The owner has spent the last year making her look like she just came from the builder (at least on the outside). The new deck includes major deck repairs and replacement of nearly all deck fittings, new jib, dodger, a sail pack for the main for easy mainsail takedown, new cockpit cushions, new autopilot, new navigation lights, and safety rails. The engine and transmission have had major upgrades including a new, custom-machined propeller shaft. The owner is beginning work on the interior to include a complete rewiring and panel replacement and other repairs and upgrades. This boat remains a sailor's boat: easy and comfortable to sail even in a stiff breeze and heavy seas.

The Islander 36 can fill both the role of weekend cruiser and offshore passage making. She is fast medium displacement, blue water cruiser with the desirable tracking and handling qualities of a long fin keel and powerful skeg-hung rudder. She is a strong, comfortable, safe sailing boat and does not sacrifice speed and pointing ability for strength and comfort.
She has the normal equipment for a coastal cruising vessel regarding ground tackle, winches, sails, roller furling, wheel steering, etc.
The Islander 36 provides overnight sleeping accommodations for up to 5 persons.
